ISLB invites Erasmus students to study Lithuanian language and culture in the summer 2011!
EILC - Erasmus Intensive Lithuanian Language Course will be held at International School of Law and Business from the 5th of August, 2011 till the 26th of August, 2011 before the Autumn semester 2011/2012.
The course shall provide language skills corresponding to A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference and lay foundations of cultural and historical awareness.
The objectives of the course are as follows:
to provide students with basic Lithuanian language knowledge;
to teach sufficient vocabulary and grammar for elementary understanding and communication;
to enable students to understand basic phrases in everyday situations, interact in a simple way in daily life episodes, be able to speak about the place where they live and what they do, be able to ask for/and tell the time and directions;
to acquaint the students with the history of Lithuania;
to introduce everyday culture and traditions of Lithuanian people to international students.
After completion of the course the students will be able to:
understand and use simple everyday expressions and basic phrases;
introduce himself/herself and others;
answer questions about personal information (where people come from; what the time is; order food in a café, etc.);
interact in a simple way when people speak slowly and clearly;
write a short, simple postcard, letter, etc.;
fill in forms with personal details;
Moreover, the students will enjoy:
discovering Lithuanian traditions, lifestyle and most interesting facts about Lithuanian history;
finding new friends and sharing exciting experiences.
Students will have a course of 154 academic hours and will receive 6 ECTS.
