Summer German Course on the Seaside from Aug. 1st until 26th 2011
Learn German on the coast!
You can learn the German language best by being “on location” in Germany. From Aug 1st to 26th Jade Hochschule offers it's popular Summer German Course on the Seashore at Wilhelmshaven campus for the 15th time.
Participants in the course stay Wilhelmshaven for four weeks and improve their language skills with qualified teachers in small groups. At the end of the course, each participant receives a certificate of participation.
To meet the needs of all students, participants will be divided into small groups based on their previous knowledge. The course is open to beginners and advanced learnes as well as to pupils, students, au pairs and to everybody else who would like to study German.
The concept: “Learning-by-doing”: lessons in combination with excursions and activities
During the morning, the students will be trained with certain goals in mind – in the afternoon, they will have the chance to practice what they have learned in day-to-day situations! They may be asked to take a bus, order food, converse with other students, prepare for or report on excursions, plan a get- together … they will be confronted with endless possibilities to put their language skills to use in “real life” situations!
The classroom lessons offer the necessary preparation for the excursions: for example, how do you describe how to get from the harbor to the main train station, what are low tide and high tide, what can one see at the different museums, what is the history of the city we are visiting …
By the end of the course, the participants will not only have greatly expanded their general knowledge of Germany, but, most importantly, will feel more secure with the German language and able to deal with daily situations using that language. Additionally students will have fun and make new friends from all over the world.
